Tech-Spiration #1: 20 Things We Should Say More Often
Overview:
Let's inspire our students to think about encouraging and thoughtful things to say to each other throughout the year. Students will watch Kid President's 20 Things We Should Say More Often video and brainstorm what they can say more often in your classroom. Then put it all together in one video that your students will star in! This is an opportunity for the whole class to create a video together that can be watched in times of low motivation!

Tech-Spiration #3: Kindness Boomerang
Overview:
What goes around, comes around, especially kindness! Students will learn that being kind can have an impact and will watch an example of how kindness can boomerang. Using Doodle Buddy, students will create a poster to advertise ways to help each other. These can be hung up in the classroom as a way to reinforce kind behavior in your classroom.
Tip: If you don't have a Weebly website for students to upload their work, try using a Padlet Wall. Students can upload their pictures and then you can save images to your computer from the Padlet wall or print the entire Padlet.

Resources
- Twitter Create a class account to use, do not give students the password. Give students your iPad already logged in to Twitter when they have told you what they want to tweet about, then they will get final approval before tweeting.
- Twitter Letter Template to Parents (Go to File - Make a copy, then edit to your liking)
- Twitter Introduction Activity Have students make their first tweet as a class using this handout! Talk about the rules of Twitter, brainstorm ideas of things they could tweet about, go over how to tweet, then choose one student to complete a first tweet. Ask one student a week to be in charge of twitter by taking pictures and tweeting from your class. Take a look at Mrs. Blakley's 3rd graders and what they have done!
- Twitter Cheat Sheet Print out and hang around the classroom for students to refer to if they don't know how to tweet!
